Friends of Alta Case Study

Advocating the preservation and sustainability of Alta’s delicate ecosystem.

Friends of Alta (FOA), a nonprofit land trust with a goal to protect the environment of the Alta region, approached Freestyle Marketing Group to develop a powerful and unique brand strategy for its organization. With many nonprofits also focused on preserving wildlife areas, such as Save our Canyons, FOA needed to communicate to its target audience it’s unique expertise and leadership in the preservation of land and protection of the watershed in Albion Basin and the Town of Alta

STRATEGY AND EXECUTION

Freestyle used the account planning techniques of discovery, analysis, and development to create a unique brand for Friends of Alta. We conducted an independent survey and examined primary and secondary research, including competitive data, and then shaped our findings into in-depth insights.

Tactics Used

Account Planning

Account planning findings were used to define positioning and develop a strategy for FOA to communicate with its base and reach new potential donors. Armed with this information, a new style guide and new website were designed; and a direct mail campaign and media outreach strategy were developed.
